Lynd Products History
The company acquired the Incubator and BCB business from CASP Products Ltd in January 2011 and initially the key 2 Incubators in the range are the GNAT & Challenger models. These have undergone a radical re-design and substantial investment to produce the most versatile and market-leading quality products featuring the latest in power supply and heating technology – low voltage operation means user safety in potentially hazardous areas – none of our products have mains voltage at the incubator. 2 new models are scheduled to join the range in spring 2011 to compliment what will undoubtedly the most versatile range of incubators in the world
BCB has also undergone re-formulation – already trusted by 1000s of users this valuable and very effective product has had the shelf life extended to 5 years together with a new image for 2011.
BCB was the start of the journey in early 1994, realising that the whole concept of education for children and adults with special needs was evolving rapidly as technology was developing the popular columns of water (bubble columns) were causing concern as the water began to develop bacteriological contamination leading to algae, odour and infection risk. With input from a leading Microbiologist and support from a substantial UK pharmaceutical company, the concept of Bubble Column Biocide (BCB) came together in late 95. Dip slides had been used during field trials and a more accurate method of incubation was needed – the first CASP Incubator (Incupot) was conceived.
CASP realised the market potential for small and good quality incubators so in 1999 the Challenger range replaced the Incupot, 2001 brought the GNAT, originally with a basic mechanical thermostat for the last 9 years but now upgraded with MX technology.
July 2011 sees the launch of the Discovery and Ranger field incubators, these are designed and built around the CASP Fieldmaster concept. Featuring the MX temperature control system Lynd have now completed the most versatile range of mini – dip slide incubators in the world!
